Is medium exchange in a CPC (Cell Processing Center) a burden?
This cell culture system enables medium exchange within the bag while maintaining a closed system. Up to three units can be operated at the same time.
Sensors measure the liquid level in the bag, allowing precise control of medium input and output.
Features
1. Adopts a unique liquid thickness control method suitable for the bag culture
The pressure unit is equipped with a sensor to measure the thickness of the liquid in the bag, and while measuring the thickness of the liquid, it supplies new liquid and controls waste liquid. This method allows precise control of the liquid inside the bag despite its simple configuration.
2. Culture unit can be used in an incubator
A culture unit placed inside the incubator is connected via a cable to a control unit outs outside the incubator.
3. Microscopic Observation is possible while maintaining the closed system
The culture unit can be carried by removing the cable. Microscopic observation is possible through the glass surface of the pressure unit set on the culture unit.
4. Control by dedicated software
The culture system is controlled by dedicated software installed on the control computer. It is possible to set automatic culture medium exchange at any date and time.
5. Use a dedicated culture bag for the system
By using a WELLBAG dedicated to the system, it can be applied to complete medium exchange and differentiation induction during spheroid formation. In addition, the system-specific bag series, including a bag for adherent cells which currently under development, can be used.

Media exchange performance in a well bag (for system use): Example
By using 14.25 mL of medium for a 10 mL well bag, a 99% media exchange was achieved.
The migration rate of spheroids within the well bag during exchange was 0.5% or less.

Medium volume in the media bag: 10 mL
