Toyo Seikan Group Holdings, Ltd. ("Toyo Seikan Group"), together with Suntory Holdings Limited ("Suntory Holdings") and UACJ Corporation ("UACJ"), received the "Director of General, Industrial Science and Technology Policy and Environment Bureau, Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry Award"--one of the top Japan Star Prizes at the Japan Packaging Contest 2023 hosted by the Japan Packaging Institute. This award is given to those who have contributed to reducing environmental impact.

The winning product is the world's first beverage container made from 100% recycled aluminum, which was developed jointly by the three companies for The Premium Malt's CO₂ Reduction Can and The Premium Malt's "Kaoru" Ale CO₂ Reduction Can, which went on sale on September 6, 2022.
