Paper Cups Mixed with Recycled Pulps (Packaging Category Award – Beverage Packaging Award) 3
This product is a paper cup that horizontally recycles used beverage paper cups collected separately inside aircraft operated by Japan Airlines Co., Ltd. The collected paper cups were previously recycled into paper products, such as cardboard; however, improvements in the accuracy of paper cup separation and collection onboard aircraft, the establishment of dedicated recycling equipment for food and beverage paper containers at Nippon Paper Industries Co., Ltd.’s factory, and advances in paper cup manufacturing technology have enabled the establishment of a horizontal recycling scheme for paper cups. This product contributes to reducing the environmental impact toward the realization of a circular society.

Spiral-Shaped Divider for Western Confectionery Gifts (Packaging Technology Award – Logistics Award)
To reduce the empty space caused by changing the quantity of Western confectionery from 18 to 15 pieces, the storage method was reviewed. Additionally, since the display box is also used as the shipping box, it was necessary to stack the confectionery, and securing the confectionery in the front row was also a challenge. Therefore, a stopper with a spiral-shaped cut was installed in the divider. This structure accommodates a change in quantity, compresses empty space in the front row, and firmly secures the confectionery.
Display Packaging for a Warehouse-Type Commercial Facility for Strong Wheat Flour (Packaging Category Award – POP Packaging Award)
To improve the display of wheat flour, the box structure was modified. Before improvement, the box contained partition supports between products to bear the load when boxes were stacked, which caused difficulty in seeing and accessing products behind the front row after removing the front products. The improved design replaces the partition supports with triangular prism-shaped corners on the box that bear the load. By eliminating the partitions, the packaging allows for an open-front display, improving product visibility and accessibility in the back rows.
