Toyo Seikan Group Holdings, Ltd.
Collaborating with the startup DAIZ Inc., which produces the germinated soybean-based plant meat 'Miracle Meat', and the startup Shiok Meats Pte Ltd, which develops cell-cultured shrimp and crustaceans, to accelerate the development of a new primary industry

We formed a capital and business alliance with DAIZ Inc., a startup developing and producing Miracle Meat, a plant-based meat substitute made from germinated soybeans.
Toyo Seikan Group provides food processing technologies that can bring out aroma, texture, and characteristics of ingredients. We will also develop containers and shelf stable products to achieve a longer shelf life of Miracle Meat, which would contribute to food loss reduction. Our combined expertise in food processing and preservation is expected to provide a comprehensive solution for the entire value chain of sustainable food materials, including production, processing, filling, distribution, consumption, disposal, and recycling processes. Together with DAIZ, we will aim to increase the value of Miracle Meat and find solutions to environmental challenges and social issues such as food shortage.
Shiok Meats, Toyo Seikan Group has invested in, has a proprietary technology to isolate stem cells from shrimps and other crustaceans. By producing cell-based seafood with this technology, it aims to help solve social issues in Asia, such as food and protein shortage, climate change, and marine pollution.
Toyo Seikan Group, as an infrastructure company supporting food lifestyles, aims to realize a rich and sustainable food lifestyle in the Asian region by advancing the commercial production and supply of cultured shrimp and crustaceans, together with Shiok Meats and other co-creation partners.
