The use of recycled materials in stretch blow bottles (i.e., bottles made by stretch blow molding) has been advancing for daily goods and beverage bottles, but has not made headway in other uses for quality and safety reasons. Mebius Packing Co., Ltd. has been working with our customers to ensure quality and safety, and as a result, we have expanded the use of these bottles to food applications such as seasonings. As a pioneer in the industry, in 2021 we successfully developed a seasoning bottle manufactured from recycled materials into a product. We are using recycled raw materials produced from spent PET soft drink bottles for this bottle. This material emits less GHG than regular PET resin, making it superior from a decarbonization perspective.
