We have been selected for the first time as an "Environmentally Sustainable Company" in the Environmentally Sustainable Company category of the 7th "ESG Finance Awards Japan" sponsored by the Ministry of the Environment.
Based on our medium- to long-term environmental goals, Eco Action Plan 2030, the Group is promoting initiatives to reduce its environmental impact, aiming to realize a carbon-free society, a resource-circulating society, and a society that coexists with nature. We believe that our selection as an Environmentally Sustainable Company was a result of the recognition of the comprehensiveness of the information we disclose through our integrated report and website, and we will continue to strengthen our efforts to realize a sustainable society.
The ESG Finance Awards Japan is an awards system established by the Ministry of the Environment in 2019. It recognizes the pioneering efforts of institutional investors, financial institutions, intermediaries, companies, etc. that have actively engaged in ESG finance and environmental and social businesses and made an impact, and aims to promote and expand ESG finance by sharing these efforts widely with society.
This award recognizes companies that incorporate "significant environmental opportunities and risks" into their management strategies to improve their "corporate value," and that create positive impacts on the environment while also increasing their corporate value.
