Overview of the Certified Health and Productivity Management Outstanding Organizations System (excerpted from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry website)
The Certified Health and Productivity Management Outstanding Organizations System is a program that recognizes corporations, including large and small businesses, that are particularly outstanding in implementing health and productivity management practices, based on initiatives tailored to local health challenges and health promotion initiatives promoted by the Japan Health Conference.
This time, the number of certified companies in our group has reached 19, showing steady growth. (2021: 9 companies, 2022: 10 companies, 2023: 13 companies, 2024: 14 companies, 2025: 18 companies, 2026: 19 companies)
In order to further increase the number of certified companies within the group, we will promote the following initiatives.
In fiscal year 2017, Toyo Seikan Group decided to address employee health issues as a key management priority and committed to health management. They established the "Toyo Seikan Group Health Management Declaration" and appointed a Human Resources Executive as the Health Management Promotion Officer. This team works closely with Human Resources, industrial physicians, public health nurses, nurses, and hygiene managers to address these issues.
As one of the key pillars of human capital management, we will continue to address employee health issues from a management perspective, implement a PDCA cycle while being mindful of group-wide indicators and target values, and promote health management in order to realize the "ideal state" that Toyo Seikan Group aims for.
